We are at the gates of San Frediano, one of the coolest and most ancient neighborhoods in the historic center, ideal for living and discovering authentic Florence! Renovated in 2023, it is furnished with great taste. This magnificent 3-floor apartment can accommodate up to 8 people and is equipped with every comfort that will make you feel at home!
The Space

The strategic position of the apartment makes it a perfect base and ideal place to relax after a day discovering Florence and its surroundings. Also easily accessible by car.
Apartment with view of the Arno River, 10 minutes walk from the historic center or 20 minutes walk from the Duomo.
It is a three-level apartment of 110 m2 with entrance on the ground floor, very elegant, furnished with great taste that offers all comforts and is ideal for enjoying relaxing moments in the heart of the city.
The apartment offers entrance into living room with double sofa bed, well-equipped eat-in kitchen (dishwasher, fridge and freezer, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, 2-burner stove) with large table plus laundry room with washing machine. 18 steps lead to the 1st floor where you’ll find a double bedroom, a complete bathroom with shower, living room with desk, double sofa bed and large built-in wardrobe. Another 16 steps lead to the attic where you’ll find the queen-size bed and private bathroom with shower. The attic height ranges from 2.20 m to 0.80 m at the lowest point. The attic bathroom height ranges from 1.80 m at the highest point to 1.53 m at the lowest.
The apartment is very well equipped and functional to make everyone feel at home.

We are located in the San Frediano neighborhood, one of the coolest neighborhoods in Oltrarno with its artisan workshops, trendy venues and excellent trattorias, rich in stories to tell and emotions to experience.
It is here that the Medici family chose to live, at Palazzo Pitti with its magnificent Boboli Garden.
San Frediano represents the most authentic area of the city, where old Florentine traditions continue to live with their typical workshops, where you can see skilled craftsmen and artists at work.
We are also just steps away from Florence’s new “movida,” with its numerous restaurants/trattorias and venues that especially in summer animate squares and streets with their outdoor tables. Here you can taste the best dishes of Tuscan cuisine both for an informal lunch and a romantic dinner.
Ideal for families with children or friends traveling together, the neighborhood offers everything you might need during your stay.
The apartment is easily accessible by car being outside the ZTL (limited traffic zone).
Just steps away you’ll find: bank, pharmacy, bar, pastry shops, ice cream parlors, pizzerias, typical and ethnic restaurants, supermarkets, hairdresser, laundry, bus stop, children’s playgrounds.
Getting Around the Area
You’ll easily find outdoor parking along via della Fonderia, where the apartment is located, or covered parking on via G. Zanella (both paid). From the apartment you can reach Santa Maria Novella Station, Piazza Santo Spirito and Palazzo Pitti, and Ponte Vecchio in 15 minutes on foot, and the Duomo or San Lorenzo Central Market in 20 minutes.

Five Senses Experience at Santarosa
There are hosts, there are “SuperHosts”, and then there is Antonella. We stayed 3 nights, and she was able to help arrange easy transport from the airport to her place. Our flight was delayed, and yet she stayed late to help get us check-in. The first thing that you notice when walking into the place is the wonderful potpourri from Officina Profumo – Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella. Antonella’s place was fully stocked with everything that we needed and more. She was always available for questions about the place or suggestions around town. Located in an excellent area with easy access to all the sites that you want to see, but the apartment was extremely quiet, and we heard zero city noises from within the place. Florence was 100 degrees F when we were there, but you would never know because her place was perfectly air-conditioned. Simply an outstanding host and place. Will be returning to her apartment when we return to Florence. Thank you Antonella.
It was a real pleasure meeting you, Antonella. We’ve rented a lot of houses and apartments in different countries and you are by far the most amazing host. We truly appreciate it. The apartment is very beautiful and well-kept, in a perfect location for experiencing Florence’s historic center: next to the Medici Chapels and the Church of San Lorenzo and 5 minutes from the Duomo. Antonella was more than helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate us and even helping us find an apartment in Florence for my son. Last but not least, her gastronomic recommendations deserve applause. We visited almost all the restaurants on the list she provided us with.
We’ve stayed in the apartment twice now, so that should say it all. The location is fabulous, the host couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. We’ll definitely choose to stay there again.

Die Gastgeberin war unglaublich engagiert und freundlich – half nicht nur mit der Informationsmappe in der Wohnung sondern auch mit Restaurantempfehlungen und dem Kontakt zur Mietgarage. Ich könnte mir keine bessere Betreuung vorstellen! Vielen herzlichen Dank! Man merkt sofort, dass ein besonderes Augenmerk darauf gelegt wird, dass sich die Gäste wohl fühlen. Die Wohnung war hervorragend ausgestattet (Geschirr, Töpfe, sogar Salz und Kaffee waren vorhanden), es gab Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Backofen … . Die Sauberkeit, der gute Geruch, die geschmackvolle Einrichtung … wir haben jede Minute in Florenz genossen! Die Lage könnte besser nicht sein, mit Markt, Bahnhof und Sehenswürdigkeiten in unmittelbarer Umgebung.
Da raccomandare per molti aspetti: ottima posizione centrale accanto a San Lorenzo; molto silenzioso perché affaccia su una corte interna; grande cortesia dell’host Antonella. C’è un garage a pochi passi dall’appartamento (Park Giglio).
Tudo! O apartamento é muito bem localizado, grande, confortável, muito bem decorado e limpo! O check in aconteceu no horário combinado e a anfitriã foi muito prestativa o tempo todo! Ganhamos um espumante no check in, o que nos deixou mais encantado ainda!

Antonella’s place was amazing! I would recommend it to anyone coming to Florence! Very centrally located, easy walk to all the local attractions and amazing restaurants. She was very gracious in allowing us to check in early and the person who met us at the apartment was so kind and gave us great tips on things to do during our stay. From first booking to checkout, Antonella and her staff were nothing but amazing!!
